Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Nexit (n-exit.com) collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

1. Data We Collect

Account data — email, name, username, password (stored as a bcrypt hash), country, and optional profile details.
Transaction data — listings, offers, deals, invoices, payout records, and messages exchanged in Deal Rooms.
Payment identifiers — your Stripe Connect account ID, PayPal email, and Escrow.com email. Card numbers are never stored by Nexit; they are handled entirely by Stripe or PayPal.
Technical data — IP address at login (for security), browser locale, and usage logs.

2. How We Use It

To operate the marketplace: listings, purchases, payouts, notifications.
To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
To send transactional emails (deal updates, payment confirmations).
To send marketing emails only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time in Settings.

3. Third-Party Processors

Data is shared only with the services required to operate the Platform:

Stripe — card payments and seller payouts
PayPal — payments and payouts
Escrow.com — escrow transactions over $2,500
Resend — transactional email delivery
Railway — application and database hosting
Anthropic / OpenAI / Google — AI listing generation and valuations (listing content only, never your credentials)

4. Your Rights (GDPR)

Access & portability — export all your data as JSON from Settings → Export Data.
Erasure — delete your account from Settings. Personal data is anonymized; financial records are retained as required by law.
Rectification — edit your profile data at any time.
Objection — opt out of marketing in Settings.

5. Data Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. After deletion, personal fields are anonymized immediately. Transaction and invoice records are retained for the legally required accounting period.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Payment credentials never touch our servers. Login attempts are rate-limited.

7. Cookies

Nexit uses only essential cookies: a session cookie for authentication and a locale preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
